No comparison with dried peel, Anhydra uses a low temperature drying process, gently removing moisture from the pink grapefruits by circulating hot air around them. This process preserves the pink grapefruit aromas, essential oils and peel bitterness. This natural process retains the grapefruits nutrients, the intensity of its flavours and the accuracy of its colours. No preservatives, processing aids or seasonings are added during production.
The care taken in drying naturally the grapefruits makes them more potent than other dried grapefruits or grapefruit peel on the market greatly reducing quantity needed to infuse a good flavour/aroma and, more importantly, ensures brewers of consistent results from batch to batch.
It takes 8 Kgs of pink grapefruits (about 32 pink grapefruits) to make 1 kg of Anhydra’s dehydrated grapefruit
8 Kg Box (Packed in a Blue Poly Bag inside a Box) Net Weight.
Brewers typically use Anhydra’s dehydrated Grapefruits between 1g to 2g per liter in boil and whirlpool (at the last minute) to give their brew a nice orange aftertaste and bitterness.
Depending on final taste profile target some may want to “dry hop” 4g to 10g per liter to boost the fruity taste.
