1st Life:
These casks are coopered from extremely unique, authentic and highly sought after ex-Pedro Ximénez Sherry (from the Sherry Triangle, Spain). Pedro Ximénez Sherry is a very sweet fortified wine suitable for desserts with a very dark colour. In the nose its bouquet is extremely rich with predominantly sweet notes of dried fruits such as raisins, figs and dates, accompanied by the aromas of honey, grape syrup, jam and candied fruit, at the same time reminiscent of toasted coffee, dark chocolate, cocoa and liquorice.
2nd Life:
These ex-Pedro Ximénez Sherry Casks were then brought to Tasmania and coopered down to 30L shaved and charred by Australia's own Tasmanian Tiger Cooperage in Pontville, Tasmania. These smaller barrels have since held Callington Mill Distillery finest Peated Whisky for over 4+ years.
Recently disgorged, these barrels smell devine with the remnants of the finest well rested Tasmanian Smokey Peated Malt Whisky and subtle overtones of Pedro Ximénez Sherry from the Sherry Triangle, Spain.
3rd Life:

The Coopers logos are still on the barrels and under no circumstances are customers allowed to leverage or use the former whisky distillers name in the marketing of their own beverages without the prior permission and express written approval from the previous brand owners.
