Used Benzyme LF on a 6 kg wheated bourbon mash and it worked really well. I held the mash around 90°C for about 2 hours, then followed it up with Benzyme TG for the saccharification stage. After the enzymes had done their thing, an iodine test showed no remaining starch.
I used about 3 mL, which was definitely on the generous side considering the recommended dosage is only around 0.7 to 1.2 mL for 6 kg even when calculating against the full grain weight. So you don't need much of this stuff.
It handled the 90°C mash without any issues and did a great job of breaking down the starch and reducing the mash to something much more manageable. Combined with the TG, the two enzymes worked really well together.
Really happy with the results and I'll definitely be using it again.
Hi Simon, we're thrilled to hear that Benzyme LF worked so well for your bourbon mash! Thanks for sharing your detailed experience — it’s great to know it handled the temperature and delivered the results you wanted. Looking forward to your next batch!

Used MagiSol 300 on a 19L batch of very cloudy lemon ginger mead and the results were bloody impressive. Added it to the finished mead and overnight it went from cloudy to crystal clear. All the crap that was suspended in the mead dropped out and left a nice compact layer on the bottom.
Best part is I couldn't notice any change to the flavor. It cleared the mead without stripping out the lemon or ginger character.
I've used other finings before, but this was easily one of the most impressive results I've had. If you've got a cloudy brew that refuses to clear, I'd definitely recommend giving it a go. 5/5.
Hi Simon, we're thrilled to hear about your fantastic results with MagiSol® 300! Thanks for sharing your experience and for recommending it. Cheers to crystal-clear tasty brews!
More Clarity! Same Great Taste! We'll drink to that!

Used Benzyme TG on a 6 kg wheated bourbon mash after using alpha amylase, and it worked really well. I used about 2.5 mL, which is a little above the recommended dose, but it gave me plenty of conversion and the mash fermented out well.
I used it around 60°C and it handled the temperature without any issues.
Easy to use, very little needed, and it did exactly what I wanted. I'll definitely use it again.

Brewing with this yeast was impressively quick. I brewed 5 litres of apple juice with 1/2 a pack of this yeast and 1 tsp of nutrient. It had a SG of 1.046 and 4 days later it was at 1.000 - that's right - 4 days... I'll see how it tastes in a few weeks, but I'm definitely buying this yeast again!
Hi Jen, we're thrilled to hear about your quick and successful brew! Thanks for sharing your experience, and we look forward to hearing how it tastes in a few weeks. Happy brewing!

Certainly a brew for "All Seasons" but will definitely be a hit in Spring & Summer! First brew was more "cloudy" than expected but the next brew (in the fermenter as I speak) will support my modifications - To Beer Advised.. Great balance of fruity/hoppy finish!
Hey Roger, tanks for sharing your experience! Looks Amazing by the way! We're glad you enjoyed the balance of fruity and hoppy notes. Good luck with your modifications on the next batch—sounds like it's going to be great! Cheers #brewhappy always
