Paper entries: Download from our website www.warrnamboolshow.com.au and drop into our office at Warrnambool Showgrounds 331, Koroit St. Warrnambool, VIC 3280. Payment can be made by cash or Eftpos at the office.

Entries Close: Friday, October 20th at midnight. No late entries can be taken.
Early Deliveries: Contact Sam Munro or the WHBA via Facebook.
Closing Date for Entry Deliveries: 27th October at 6pm at The Fresh Flower Market Warrnambool 42 Hyland St Shed 3, Warrnambool Victoria 3280.

Judging Starts: 28th October at 11am with ‘People’s Choice’ judge to start at 12:30pm-2pm.
Venue: Old Horticulture Pavilion, Warrnambool Showgrounds

Prizes
Results and awards to be presented at 3:30pm.
First Place: Sash and a prize donated by our sponsors.
Second and third place: Ribbons will be awarded.
•People’s choice award to win a wooden Mash Paddle and Benchy Carbon as ‘The People’s Beer’.
• Winners will be notified and presented with awards between 3-4 pm.

Information for Entrants
Step 1: Check you are eligible to enter. Eligibility criteria is:
• The entering brewer brewed the beer and be over 18 years old.
• The brewer is not selling the entry beer he/she has brewed commercially.
• The beer was not brewed at a place where commercial beer is produced.
Step 2:
• Enter your selected classes online through Showday Online and pay your entry fee. You will receive an details for each class to attach to your entry.
• Beers must be entered into the correct style section. All entries must be personally home brewed and or if multiple brewers created the entry, then all brewers must be listed on the entry form.
• There are 4 style categories, and each has its own sub section: Kit & Kilo and Whole Grain (Fresh Wort Kits may be entered in only the Whole Grain section).
Step 3:
Beers must be packaged and clearly labelled as below:

• Using a paper/adhesive label, attach to each bottle entered the following: your entry number, style section, class number and any unique ingredients used.
E.g., Number 21, Kit & Kilo, Class 8001, Coopers Lager Kit, DME & Galaxy dry hops.
• Deliver 3 x 750 ml bottles (4 x 330 ml stubbies) of each beer you are entering to the delivery points, so it can arrive at The Fresh Flower Market Warrnambool 42 Hyland St Shed 3, Warrnambool Victoria 3280 by no later than 6pm on the 27th of October 2023. Liability for loss or damage is the sole responsibility of the entrant. Late entries will not be eligible for judging.

Competition Rules

1. Failure by the entrant to observe the competition rules and guidelines may result in disqualification of entry.
2. Each bottle entered must have an attached label to identify the beer as specified on the entry form. Bottles received without proper labels will be disqualified. Labels must be suitable affixed to the bottle, so they are not dislodged or removed during unpacking. Bottles without suitable affixed labels may be disqualified at the Competition Organiser’s discretion.
3. Entrants may enter as many beers into any category as they wish but cannot enter same beer more than once.
4. The entry fee is not refundable.
5. All entries will become the property of the Warrnambool Home Brew Association’s Home Brew Competition and the Warrnambool Agricultural Society.
6. No entries will be returned whether received late or otherwise.
7. Beers will be judged by BJCP styled guidelines.
8. By entering the Warrnambool Home Brew Association’s Home Brew Competition, you allow the Warrnambool Agricultural Society to use all entry and result details for promotional and marketing purposes including the right to use name & images of the winners in publicity material.
9. Judges, Organisers, Chief Stewards are ineligible to enter beers into the competition.
