Can't believe I didn't buy these years ago. Tough and long enough to reach deep into the kettle if you need to. Get some!

Brewing Gloves

Can highly recommend, knocked the filter off my grainfather (first time used) being a little over vigorous with the whirlpool. Managed to fix everything up and get my cooling done and my brew settled in the fermenter and fridge.
