Sorachi Ace is a popular US Hop variety among craft brewers for its unique citrus fruit, herbal and dill aromas.  Popular brewing style uses include APA, IPA, Lager, Saison and Belgian Style Ales.

Pedigree:

  • Developed in Japan in 1984 for Sapporo Breweries, Ltd., Sorachi Ace is a cross between Brewer’s Gold, Saaz and Beikei No. 2 male.

    I used Sorachi Ace hops in my Asian Lager and it worked great! It works well with Lemondrop hops, thanks so much Beerco!

    First time use, still assessing them but a nice clean hop, does not leave grassiness in lagers, high alpha means less hop material in the boil, low level late hopping leaves hints of lemon and noticeable dill but very pleasant
