Manildra Harwood Sugars Food Grade Molasses is a black, viscous liquid which is the final product remaining after all commercially available sucrose has been removed from sugar syrup. Molasses appears black to reddish brown (when aerated) and the odour and flavour are typically strong of caramelised sugar. The molasses has been further treated to ensure it meets food grade requirements.
With molasses being the core component of rum, a specialised Distiller's Rum Yeast pairs perfectly with this product to create a fine quality, craft rum you will be proud of.
Don't forget to purchase a Drum Tap for easy pouring. Alternatively you can use a Natural Tap, however the hole is not drilled through.
