These 100 Litres Ex Starward Whisky Barrels are a rare and precious find. We took a bung out of one for a sniff! Oh me oh my these Ex Starward Whisky barrels smell devine! Freshly degorged and ready to refil with your favourite liquid.
These 100L Oak Barrels are a unique and rare barrel style.
Prior to holding the finest award winning Australian Whisky for several years these barrels have been coopered down from ex Fortified Wine Barrels by SA Cooperage. They orginally had a #4 Char and are in reasonably good condition. Note: they have been standing on their heads as they have been filled and stored vertically.

Marketing Notice - Buyer Beware!
These barrels have spent the greater part of their life housing premium Fine Australian Whisky for Starward. Their are no logos on the barrels prior to shipping and under no circumstances are customers allowed to leverage or use the former distillers name in the marketing of their own beverages should you be a commercial brewery or distillery who is keen to use these barrels for commercial spirits or beer. By all means you are allowed to store and age your beer and/or spirit in these barrels and give them another generous life and you are allowed to market the story of your product but you are NOT ALLOWED to mention any brand(s) that formerly housed amazing whisky in these wonderful barrels.

Starward Projects is a program which allows our Starward distillers to experiment with different whiskies and create flavour forward and unique expressions. Each release is limited and once it’s sold out, it’s gone.
Prior to holding Starward Whisky for several years, these barrels may have held Rye Whiskey.
Lifting the Bungs and smelling these still wet barrels the aroma is devine. Rich floral overtones of plum, caramel, red fruit and subtly spiced whisky evelope the senses and bring so many opportunities to mind for the imaginative Craft Brewer and Distiller.
