The SpaceKraft® 6600014 BVA (Ball Valve Assembly) with Nipple and Cutter Tool is an engineered, three-piece closed-system dispensing assembly. It allows cellar hands and production brewers to pierce the internal liner membrane through a sealed valve body. Once pierced, retract the cutter, close the heavy-duty ball valve, swap in your transfer hose or Camlock fitting, and pump or gravity-feed directly into the brewhouse or fermenter with zero mess, zero leaks, and zero product loss.

Step-by-Step Operating Instructions

  1. Prepare the Tote: Remove the dust cap or shipping plug from the 2" buttress discharge port at the base of the SpaceKraft® IBC container. Inspect the bag gland membrane to ensure it is clean.

  2. Assemble the Valve: Thread the 2000109 adapter nipple into the 2000002 ball valve inlet using thread tape (PTFE) rated for food contact.

  3. Mount to Container: Thread the male buttress end of the assembly firmly into the tote's discharge port until the gasket compresses tightly and the yellow handle finishes in an accessible operating position (typically between 10:00 and 2:00).

  4. Insert the Cutter: Move the ball valve lever to the fully OPEN position. Insert the 2000023 cutter tool through the ball valve and thread its 2" NPT collar into the valve's outlet port until hand-tight.

  5. Pierce the Liner: Firmly push and twist the plunger handle inward. The serrated cutting head will cleanly core through the bag’s inner membrane, releasing liquid into the valve body.

  6. Retract and Close: Pull the plunger handle all the way back until the cutting head clears the ball mechanism inside the valve. Immediately rotate the yellow lever to the CLOSED position.

  7. Connect & Transfer: Unthread the 2000023 cutter tool from the valve outlet. Thread in your desired 2" Male NPT to Camlock, tri-clamp adapter, or barbed hose fitting, connect your transfer line or pump, and open the valve to begin dispensing.
