Bertus' Festbier – Ozapft is!  Celebrate Bavarian brewing tradition with the authentic flavours of Festbier on tap at your own Oktoberfest! Prost!

Experience the taste of tradition with Bertus' authentic German Festbier! This amber-hued lager is a cornerstone of German brewing, originally crafted for the autumn beer festivals held across Bavaria, most notably Oktoberfest. Unlike its lighter, more modern counterparts, the traditional Festbier is a malty and full-bodied beer that reflects the rich heritage of German brewing.

Our Festbier is brewed with a careful selection of Pilsner, Light Munich, Melanoidin and Carapils malt, giving it a deep golden colour and a complex, toasty aroma. The focus on malt creates a smooth, biscuity sweetness that is balanced by a subtle hop presence, ensuring a clean and satisfying finish. The beer is lagered for several weeks at cold temperatures, a process that refines its flavours and results in a remarkably clean and crisp texture.

This is a beer designed for celebration and good company. Its smooth, approachable character makes it the perfect accompaniment to hearty German fare. Pour yourself a glass and toast to the tradition, craftsmanship, and pure enjoyment that a true Festbier represents.

NOTE: Supplied in a 16.5 litre HDPE cube. These kits are generally designed to add 3 litres of water immediately prior to fermentation to achieve the ideal balance. You may if you wish, not add the extra water for a richer, higher gravity version.
