Grabbing the wrong disconnect mid-brew is a common mistake — the notch and labelling are easy to miss when you're moving fast. KegLand's Colour-Coded Gas and Liquid Post O-Ring Set, developed in collaboration with the KegLand HomeBrew Community Group on Facebook, solves this at a glance.
Includes:
- 5 x Yellow O-Rings — Liquid In Post
- 5 x Red O-Rings — Gas Out Post
Specifications:
- Food-grade silicone (not Low2 — see FAQ below)
- Compatible with standard ball lock keg posts
We recommend applying food-grade lubricant to your O-rings regularly to prolong their life, especially after deep cleaning.
FAQ
Why not Low2 O-Rings?
Low2 O-rings retain shape memory; silicone does not. On a radial seal (post O-ring), this matters — if a Low2 O-ring is removed and reconnected even slightly off-position, the memory of the material can cause a leak. Silicone is the correct choice here.
Low2 is used on the Hatch Lid O-Ring because it's a face seal rated for 100s of PSI, where slight flattening under pressure can be easily reseated. All independent testing of Low2 Keg Lid O-rings was conducted using silicone post O-rings — so you're getting the right material for each application: fewer leak points, better chemical resistance, and better long-term performance.
