General Trade Perception
Crystal has become popular in US craft brewing as a triploid Hallertauer. Developed from the German aroma hop variety Hallertauer Mittelfruh with primary contributions from Cascade, Brewer's Gold and Early Green. Crystal is a low alpha hop with wonderful aromatics and subtle woody with spicy and floral aroma notes ideal in European beer styles and for late brewing additions.
