EKUANOT™ (BRAND HBC 366) US Hop (formerly known as Equinox) was developed by Hop Breeding Company and released in 2014, Ekuanot™ Brand HBC 366 features pronounced aroma characteristics and extremely high oil content. This variety bursts out of the spring soil in vibrant yellow and gradually matures to a deep green color by fall harvest.

Aroma:

Specific descriptors include melon, berry, orange peel, lime, papaya, pine and fresh peppers.

  • 15g Warrior® US Hops at 60 mins
  • 15g Simcoe® US Hops at 30 mins
  • 60g Simcoe® US Hops at 0 mins
  • 30g Equanot™ US Hops at 0 mins
  • 40g Simcoe® US Hops dry hop at 6 days or 3 days prior to bottling or kegging
  • 40g Equanot™ US Hops dry hop at 6 days or 3 days prior to bottling or kegging
Yeast - Liquid

Target Specifications:
  • Original Gravity (OG): 1.052
  • ABV: 5.2%

Method:
NB: this recipe assumes 23L or 6 US gallons starting wort after the boil is complete to finish with 19L post racking
  1. Single infusion mash at 67°C for 60 minutes.
  2. Ferment at 19°C for two weeks, and dry hop for 3 days prior to packaging or kegging.
