HPA-4029 was created by the HPA breeding program in 2004 and is a contender for Next In Bine. HPA-4029 has been producing consistent yields in field trials since 2011. HPA-4029 has been producing consistent flavour impact in brewing trials since 2015, and is being seriously considered for commercialisation pending the direction of future
industry trends.

HPA-4029 was created by the HPA breeding program in 2004 through a cross-pollination of high yielding, high alpha Australian hops with Eastern Gold Japanese hops and Southern Brewer South African hops.
