Replace cooling water with forced-air cooling. The Still Spirits VORTEX Air Cooled Condenser dissipates heat from vapour and liquid using air, offering an alternative to a water-cooled condenser in a compatible still configuration.
Cooling without a water supply
VORTEX removes the need for cooling water at the condenser, giving you more flexibility when positioning compatible equipment. Two internal tubes transfer heat to aluminium fins, while three integrated fans disperse the heat. Adjust the control dial to increase or decrease fan speed and heat dissipation.

Compatibility and support
Check your boiler, connection arrangement and required accessories before ordering. Still Spirits specifies the following limits for its Boiler Lid and Alembic Dome:
- Total column and condenser height up to 1.1 m from the lid or dome.
- Total column and condenser weight up to 11 kg, including up to 2 kg of off-centre weight offset up to 160 mm from the main column.
Use external support if your assembly exceeds these limits, if a lyne arm extends at an angle or perpendicular away from the column creating distant off-centre weight, or if the column and condenser noticeably lean.

Cleaning and care
Remove dust from the fan grille and finned tubes with a household vacuum cleaner. To clean the internal product pathway, follow the manufacturer's instructions for a cleaning distillation run using equal parts white vinegar and drinking water.
Caution: Metal fins can have sharp edges. Handle, assemble, clean and store carefully, and avoid running fingers along the fin surfaces.
