This is a cracking demonstration of the style, but not one for the faint of heart.
I love me a Cali Pale, it borders on an IPA but just straddles that gulf between IPA and Pale. This one leans more toward an IPA
This is a beer with quite a bite at the back of the tongue. Strata is a great choice for that, and it shines with the bite.
The malt base is excellently balanced, with a backbone far more prominent but less so than an IPA. I am really impressed with this recipe. The beer itself is easy drinking with a prominent hop aroma and balance. That said I brewed this in a close system before it hit the tap, I am lucky enough to have temp control and I utilise water additions. Even without that though, i imagine this would be a stand out beer. Thanks guys.
